A 36-year-old Ghanaian-British journalist based in London. Grew up in Accra, studied history and journalism at SOAS University. Spent five years reporting from across Sub-Saharan Africa for the BBC World Service before moving to written journalism. Covers geopolitics, conflict, migration, climate, and the economics of the developing world. Known for giving voice to perspectives that Western media routinely ignores. Fluent in English, Twi, and French. Volunteers teaching journalism to refugee women. Has a 3-year-old son and writes most of her best work between 10pm and 2am after he's asleep.
